Enterprise Weaving Company, Ltd.

Enterprise Weaving Company, Ltd. of Kidderminster, England, and their North American representative, Dan Cooper, are the preeminent resource for those in need of Historic Wilton, Brussels and Axminster carpets. A favorite of curators, architects, designers and private collectors, the firm maintains an extensive archive of thousands of authentic carpet patterns dating from 1790-1950.

Enterprise Weaving will also reproduce your existing carpet document, even from fragmentary or photographic evidence, as they are highly experienced with reconstructing the subtle nuances and color palettes of 18th, 19th and 20th century carpets. Among their many looms is a rare 7 frame loom, which allows them to weave far more colors into their carpets than other firms who must compromise aesthetic quality and authenticity due to the limitations of their equipment.

The company offers Mill-Direct Pricing, typically 40% less than their leading competitor, with no upcharges for custom-coloring, design work or card-cutting for patterns under 36” in length. There is a very small minimum, 20 lineal yards (135 square feet), enough for a good-sized area rug. For example, the aforementioned minimum run is only $3750 for 11-row goods compared to their $6560 for a less densely woven 10-row carpet.

Enterprise Weaving guarantees rapid delivery and promises to ship your carpet to you or your installer in 90 days from date of deposit (assuming artwork and yarn samples are approved) or they'll refund 5% of the purchase price. For those of you currently waiting 8-12 months from another vendor, please bear this in mind when considering your next purchase.
